Ep 20. Save the Last Dance For Me

In Cheers season 4 episode 20, titled "Save the Last Dance For Me," the gang at Cheers is all in a tizzy when they learn that a new bar named Gary's Olde Towne Tavern is opening up across the street. Meanwhile, at Gary's, Sam runs into Janet and they inevitably start to fight. Janet accuses Sam of being jealous of her success, while Sam accuses her of stealing all of his business. The argument comes to a head when Sam challenges Janet to a dance contest, with the winner getting to keep all the customers.

As the dance contest begins, it quickly becomes apparent that Janet has some impressive moves. Sam, on the other hand, is stumbling and bumbling his way around the dance floor. The gang at Cheers is worried that they're going to lose all their customers to Gary's, but then something unexpected happens.

Carla bursts into the bar, looking like a new woman. She's confident and poised, and her dance moves are smooth and fluid. She dominates the dance floor, and when the contest is over, the customers flood back to Cheers.

As the gang celebrates their victory, Sam and Janet reconcile and agree to let bygones be bygones. It's clear that while they may have been competitors at one point, they're still old friends at heart.
