Meanwhile, Diane and Frasier embark on a road trip to Martha’s Vineyard to attend a psychology conference. Diane expresses her feelings for Frasier, and despite being aware of the consequences, Frasier tells her he feels the same way. The trip culminates in a romantic night spent together, which gets interrupted by Frasier’s wife.
As the episode progresses, Sam finds out about Janet’s sinister intentions and confronts her about it. Eventually, he pulls out of the interview, sacrificing his chance at rekindling his relationship with Janet in the process.
