In the season 10 finale of Cheers, entitled "An Old-Fashioned Wedding (1)," love is in the air as two of the bar's most beloved regulars prepare to tie the knot. Carla (Rhea Perlman) is finally getting married to Eddie (Jay Thomas), but with her family's reputation for ruining weddings, she's understandably nervous.
To make things worse, Eddie's wealthy mother descends upon the bar with a list of demands for the wedding, including a fancy reception at a high-end hotel. Carla is hesitant to go along with these plans, but Eddie insists she give in to his mother's wishes.
Meanwhile, Sam (Ted Danson) and Rebecca (Kirstie Alley) are coming to terms with their feelings for each other. As they help plan Carla's wedding, they begin to realize just how much they mean to each other.
The tension between Sam and Rebecca comes to a head during a romantic moment, but they are interrupted by Carla's son Anthony (Timothy Williams). Anthony reveals that he's found a way to pay for a traditional Italian wedding for his mom and Eddie, complete with a feast and plenty of homemade wine.
As preparations for the wedding commence, tensions run high as everyone tries to get along. Eddie's mother is particularly difficult to please, and Carla feels like she's losing control of her own wedding.
Despite the chaos, the gang at Cheers is determined to make sure Carla's wedding is everything she's dreamed of. There are plenty of laughs, tears, and unexpected twists and turns as the big day approaches.
Will Carla and Eddie make it down the aisle without any major hiccups? And what about Sam and Rebecca? Will they give in to their feelings for each other, or will they continue to deny their true emotions?
Full of heart and humor, "An Old-Fashioned Wedding (1)" is a fitting finale to another great season of Cheers. Fans of the show will love seeing their favorite characters come together to celebrate love, friendship, and good old-fashioned fun.
