Tony the team is visiting the Midwest for an episode of "Chasing Classic Cars," where they'll run into a couple of familiar faces and a few unique finds. Firstly, an old friend and American classic car restorer from Illinois has a few machines he wants Tony to check out. Rumbling down a dusty dirt road, they encounter a 1951 Hudson Hornet that, despite needing a lot of work, is in surprisingly good condition, but the owner has underestimated how much work it will be to get this stunning vehicle back on the road.

Next, Tony and his team cross the river to visit a Wisconsin drag racer and hear about the art of racing. It's part of the American experience after all. Tony checks out some of their impressive rides, including a '72 Mustang Fastback, but he's on the lookout for a particular machine. The businessman is looking to sell his orange '59 Peterbilt semi, which he uses to transport a racecar, but Tony only has eyes for the racecar itself, a '27 Ford Model T Roadster built for going straight. An impressive piece of machinery, it's only half the machine that it used to be.

Tony gets a chance to visit a fellow in Michigan during the trip, who might have the classic American car that the team has been searching for. On arrival, he's shown a 1954 Buick Skylark, body number 52 out of 836 examples built. It's special – the top model from the special series produced in '54 – and Tony is pretty enamoured with it. There's only one little snag – he's already sold it. With all hope lost, Tony receives an interesting call about an abandoned warehouse in Chicago from an anonymous caller, who suggest he may want to check it out.

Tony soon finds the building to be an old Chicago police car storage facility. The storage unit is packed to the rafters with old police cruisers, from classic rides dating back to the '60s all the way to newer vehicles from the '80s. There's evidence that the vehicles were abandoned, but he learns that they still belong to the city and are available for sale. The only question is what the city wants for them.

In conclusion, "Chasing Classic Cars" season 7 episode 4, "Getting Hot," features Tony the team heading to the Midwest in search of classic cars.
