In the season 6 premiere episode of Chasing Classic Cars, titled "California Dreaming", car collector and restorer Wayne Carini is on the hunt for some of the most iconic and sought-after classic cars in the Golden State.

The episode begins with Wayne traveling to a luxurious estate in Beverly Hills to check out a stunning 1964 Aston Martin DB5. The car is a rare left-hand drive convertible and is one of only 43 ever made. Despite its pristine condition and impressive pedigree, Wayne must negotiate with the owner to strike a deal to add this beautiful piece of British engineering to his collection.

Next, Wayne heads to the world-renowned Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Wayne has a long history with the museum and is excited to catch up with his friend and the museum's executive director, Terry Karges. The two take a tour of the museum's latest exhibits, including a rare Bugatti and a unique Ferrari owned by legendary Hollywood actor James Coburn.

After leaving the museum, Wayne travels to Long Beach to check out a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT PF Series I Cabriolet. This particular car is one of only a few produced with a factory hardtop, which makes it even more desirable to collectors. However, the car's owner has had it for over 30 years and is understandably attached to it, making Wayne's job of trying to convince him to part with it that much harder.

With the Ferrari deal on hold, Wayne heads to the annual "Quail: A Motorsports Gathering" in Carmel, California. The event is a showcase for some of the rarest and most unique cars in the world, and Wayne is excited to be attending for the first time. While there, he meets up with his old friend and Ferrari expert, David Gooding. Together, they take a tour of the event and admire some of the most spectacular cars on display, including a 1955 Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider America and a legendary 1965 Ford GT40.

Finally, Wayne heads to a private residence in Mill Valley to check out a 1965 Shelby GT350 Fastback. The car has been sitting in a garage for over 30 years and is in desperate need of restoration. Despite its poor condition, Wayne sees the potential in the car and is determined to bring it back to its former glory.

Throughout the episode, Wayne's passion and knowledge for classic cars is evident as he navigates the competitive and often cutthroat world of car collecting. Whether it's negotiating deals, checking out rare and valuable cars or attending high-end events, Wayne is always in his element, chasing his dream of owning some of the most beautiful and iconic cars in history.
