Charlie and Lola is a British animated television show aimed at young children, based on the book series by Lauren Child. In season 3, episode 26, titled "I've Got Nobody to Play With," the siblings Charlie and Lola must find creative ways to keep themselves entertained when their friends are busy.

The episode begins with Charlie and Lola excitedly planning a playdate with their friends Marv and Lotta. However, they soon discover that Marv and Lotta are both busy and unable to come over. This leaves Charlie and Lola feeling disappointed and bored, but they decide to make the best of the situation.

With the help of their imaginations, the siblings transform their empty house into a bustling city filled with adventure. They create a pretend café, post office, and even a fashion show for their dolls. Lola also comes up with a game involving a jar of buttons, which keeps them occupied for quite some time.

However, as the day wears on, Charlie and Lola begin to tire of their own games and realize that they miss their friends. They try to come up with ways to make new friends, such as putting up a sign outside their house inviting people to come play. But when nobody shows up, they start to feel even more downhearted.

Just when it seems like their day couldn't get any worse, a surprise visitor arrives. It's their neighbor, a little girl named Ruby, who has just moved in next door. Ruby is also feeling lonely and is thrilled to find new friends to play with. Together, the three children have a great time using their imaginations to create new games and adventures.

As the day comes to a close, Charlie and Lola realize that even though their original plans fell through, they still managed to have a lot of fun. They also learned that there are always new opportunities to make friends and have adventures, even when things don't go according to plan.

It is a great addition to the Charlie and Lola series and will surely resonate with kids who have experienced the disappointment of canceled playdates or being left without someone to play with.
