Charlie and Lola season 1 episode 9, titled "I'm Really Ever So Not Well," follows the adorable siblings as Lola wakes up feeling sick and unable to attend school. Charlie, being the caring big brother that he is, tries to cheer her up and make her feel better. Lola, being a bit dramatic, is convinced that she is really ill and fears that she will miss her upcoming school play.
As the day goes on, Lola's symptoms seem to worsen and she becomes more and more convinced that she will not be able to perform in the play. Charlie tries his best to take care of her, bringing her chicken soup, making her a cozy bed on the couch, and even reading her favorite book to her. But nothing seems to lift her spirits.
Despite her illness, Lola is still adamant about practicing for the school play and insists on rehearsing her lines. Charlie helps her by playing the other characters and even comes up with some silly voices to make her laugh. Lola eventually falls asleep while Charlie is reading to her and he decides to let her rest.
Later that day, Lola's best friend Lotta comes over to check on her and brings her a get-well card. Lola is thrilled and it gives her the motivation she needs to keep practicing for the play. Charlie helps her with her lines again and Lola starts to feel more confident about her performance.
The day of the play arrives and Lola is still feeling a little under the weather, but she is determined to give it her all. The play starts and Lola begins her part with enthusiasm. However, halfway through the play, Lola's voice starts to crack and she struggles to speak her lines. Charlie is in the audience cheering her on and knows that she needs some encouragement to keep going.
In the end, Lola pulls through and finishes her part in the play, bringing the audience to a standing ovation. She comes off the stage feeling proud of herself and grateful for Charlie's support. Charlie tells her that she did an amazing job and that he's proud of her, which makes Lola feel even better.
With Lola feeling better and the play a success, the episode ends with the siblings cuddling on the couch and Charlie reading her one more story. The bond between Charlie and Lola is heartwarming and this episode teaches the importance of caring for loved ones and supporting each other during tough times.
