The Angels are sent to Moonshine country in the Deep South to investigate problems between long-feuding bootlegging families, the Bartletts and the Catlins. Son, Bobby Dan Bartlett, who is injured trying to get a shipment of whiskey to market and Catlin daughter, Melinda, are in love, much to the displeasure of both families. Kris gets a job with the Catlins as a still master. Kelly gets a job with the Bartletts as a driver. Julie takes a job as a waitress at Joe's Diner. Bosley poses as a wealthy southerner trying to buy both families out. The Angels find that the shootings and hijackings have not been done by the families, but by a group headed by Max Lacy from New York. Lacy is trying to corner the whiskey market and gain political control of the state. The Angels are able to stop a gunfight between the family elders, Hawkshaw Bartlett and Bluford Catlin, and show them who the real culprits are. Max Lacy and his group are arrested. Hobby Dan and Melinda are happily reunited.
