Celebrity Jeopardy! is the celebrity edition of the popular quiz show Jeopardy! that aired on ABC in the US in 2022. Hosted by actress and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik, this incarnation features teams of three celebrities competing for charities of their choice by answering general knowledge trivia questions.

The set design and basic format of Celebrity Jeopardy! are similar to the regular Jeopardy! show. There is a game board with six categories each with five clues of increasing difficulty and monetary value. The celebrities take turns selecting clues and have to phrase their responses in the form of a question. Daily Double clues with higher point values are also hidden on the board.

One major difference is the use of teams rather than individual players. The celebrity contestants play in teams of three, collaborating on strategy and responses. Each episode features two new celebrity teams. The team format adds a fun cooperative element as the celebrities work together towards a common goal of earning money for their chosen charities. Celebrities are often paired with costars from their movies or TV shows which provides entertaining chemistry and rivalries.

The selection of celebrity contestants is a mix of actors, comedians, musicians, athletes, news personalities, and more. Some of the celebrity contestants in 2022 included Simu Liu, Ego Nwodim, Andy Richter, Candace Parker, Constance Wu, Iliza Shlesinger, Ray Romano, Aisha Tyler, Michael Cera, and B.J. Novak. The wide range of celebrities ensures both trivia prowess and comedic interactions.

Not only are the celebrities playing for charity, but Celebrity Jeopardy! raises money in other ways too. Viewers can donate directly to contestants' charities via the show's website. There are also monetary prizes associated with each episode's winner that go to their charity. Through fierce but friendly competition, the show ultimately gives sizeable donations to various good causes.

The clues and trivia questions cover the typical wide range of topics found in regular Jeopardy! including history, geography, pop culture, literature, sports, and more. Categories often have fun themes based around the celebrities' backgrounds and popular culture references they would understand. The writers craft the clues to balance difficulty and accessibility for the celebrity contestants who are not necessarily trivia experts.

Celebrity Jeopardy! combines the general knowledge fun of quiz shows with the humor and unpredictable nature of celebrities.
