Ep 1. Judy Murray and Greg Rusedski

Judy Murray, mother of two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray, and former British tennis player Greg Rusedski embark on a journey to discover valuable antiques in the first episode of season 9 of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

The two sports icons start off in Scotland, visiting various antique shops and markets to find unique items that they can auction off for charity. Along the way, they encounter a variety of fascinating antiques and eccentric dealers.

In one shop, Judy and Greg come across a set of old croquet mallets and a red telephone box door. Greg is particularly interested in the mallets, having grown up playing croquet with his family, while Judy is fascinated by the history of the telephone box. However, they soon discover that the mallets are not quite as valuable as they had hoped, and the door is too large to fit in their car.

In another shop, the pair find some beautiful silverware and antique wine glasses. But the dealer is firm on his prices and they decide to move on to the next location.

As they travel through Scotland and into England, Judy and Greg learn about the intricate history of antiques, from the story behind a charming teapot shaped like a cottage to the origin of a classic Windsor chair.

In a surprising twist, they also meet up with former Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis, who joins them on their adventure. Janet is an avid collector of antiques and imparts her knowledge and wisdom as they browse through a shop filled with vintage clothing and jewelry.

Towards the end of their journey, Judy and Greg visit a specialist antique dealer who shows them a stunning array of items, including a beautifully crafted gold snuff box and a rare miniature portrait. Although they are tempted by many of the treasures on display, they ultimately choose a unique item that they believe will fetch a good price at auction.

Back in London, the duo attends an auction to sell their antiques and raise some money for their chosen charities. They face stiff competition from the other celebrity contestants, but ultimately hope for a successful outcome.
