Peter White and John Sergeant, two celebrities go head-to-head in search of the best antiques at bargain prices in episode 9 of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip season 7. The duo sets out on a journey through Worcestershire and Herefordshire, starting with the scenic routes of Malvern Hills, where Peter gets the chance to put his driving skills to the test while John navigates. They meet with auctioneer Philip Serrell who introduces them to the world of book collecting, and they search for hidden gems in Malvern’s local bookshops.
The celebrity duo then heads to a vintage shop in Worcester, where they meet owner Ali and get a lesson on vintage clothing. Peter manages to find some hidden gems in the accessories section, while John tries on different hats and jackets just for fun.
Next, they venture to Ledbury, home to the cobbled streets of this historic market town. The duo meets with keen antiques collectors Nick and Sarah and receive an introduction to porcelain and pottery. They test their skills at telling real antique items from replicas, with Peter having the upper hand in the game. They head to the Three Counties Antiques & Collectors Fair where John comes across a bomber jacket he thinks is worth investing in.
The trip moves to Herefordshire, where they meet up with auctioneer Thomas Plant. Here, they learn about the rich history of Hereford Beef, and try to find rare agricultural collectibles. The pair also visit the beautiful Hereford Cathedral and sample some of the famous Hereford cider.
Finally, they make their way to their last destination, Leominster, a quaint market town in the heart of Herefordshire. Here, they meet with antiques experts Karen and Derek, who guide them on their final search for antiques. Peter and John hunt for bargains at Leominster’s antiques shops before they head to auction with their finds and attempt to make a profit.
