In this episode of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, actors Sarah Greene and Peter Duncan set out to explore the West Country in their vintage cars. They begin their journey at an antiques fair in Bath, where Sarah is immediately drawn to a pair of Art Deco lamps. Peter, on the other hand, is on the lookout for a unique piece of sporting memorabilia.
Their first stop is at a shop specializing in nostalgic toys and games. Sarah finds a beautiful leather-bound book of nursery rhymes, while Peter haggles with the shop owner over a cricket bat signed by a famous player. They then move on to a 17th-century manor house, where they meet a knowledgeable antiques dealer who shows them a range of exquisite furniture and artwork.
Next, Sarah and Peter visit a quirky emporium filled with curiosities and oddities. Sarah can't resist a set of vintage teacups, while Peter admires a retro racing bike. As they make their way through the shop, they stumble across some unusual taxidermy specimens, including a two-headed lamb and a hedgehog dressed in a top hat.
The celebrities then make a detour to a pottery studio, where Sarah tries her hand at throwing a pot on a wheel. Peter, meanwhile, takes a lesson in painting pottery and creates a colorful mug as a memento of their trip.
Their final destination is an auction house in Exeter, where Sarah and Peter hope to sell the antique items they have acquired along the way. They watch with anticipation as each lot is called, and Sarah can barely contain her excitement when her Art Deco lamps are put up for bid. Peter's cricket bat also attracts plenty of interest, but will it fetch a high enough price to win the competition?
With each celebrity hoping to make the most profit from their purchases, the competition is fierce. But as they reflect on their journey, Sarah and Peter acknowledge that the experience was more about the thrill of the hunt than the final result. They leave the auction house with a newfound respect for antiques and the fascinating stories they hold.
