Ep 1. This Hero is Too Cautious

In the world of Gaeabrande, the goddess Ristarte is tasked with finding a hero to save the realm from the demon lord. After consulting with the divine Oracle, she summons the overly cautious hero Seiya Ryuguin to aid her on her quest. However, upon meeting Seiya, Ristarte quickly realizes that his cautiousness borders on paranoia, as he refuses to do anything without being 100% sure of success, even if it means over-preparing or over-equipping himself.

Despite Ristarte's initial frustration with Seiya's cautiousness and refusal to trust her, the two embark on their journey to seek out a powerful weapon that can aid them in defeating the demon lord. Along the way, they come across a group of goblins, which Seiya immediately sets to battle with his overly cautious strategy. Despite the goblins being a relatively low-level challenge, Seiya exhausts himself and all of his equipment in the fight, much to Ristarte's dismay.

Later, Seiya and Ristarte arrive at a town where they meet with the mayor, who informs them of a powerful weapon that is guarded by a dragon. Seiya immediately starts planning and preparing for the battle, and even goes as far as to refuse to enter the dragon's lair without first going through extensive training and more equipment upgrades. Despite Ristarte's protests, Seiya remains adamant in his cautiousness.

As Seiya continues to prepare, Ristarte begins to grow impatient and frustrated with his overly-cautious behavior. However, things come to a head when they discover that the townspeople have been sacrificed to the demon lord, who has already acquired the powerful weapon. Seiya and Ristarte engage in a fierce battle with the demon lord, but their efforts only end in failure.

Disheartened and defeated, Ristarte begs Seiya to take the fight more seriously and to trust her in their journey. Seiya, recognizing the gravity of the situation, agrees to loosen up his cautiousness but only slightly. He sets a goal of reaching level 99 and acquiring the best equipment before taking on the demon lord again.

This season premiere sets the tone for the rest of the series, where Seiya's paranoia and overly-cautious behavior serve as both a comedic element and a hindrance to their mission to save Gaeabrande. With Ristarte's encouragement, will Seiya be able to overcome his cautiousness and help defeat the demon lord, or will his constant preparation and safety-first mindset lead to their downfall?
