Nick and England are best friends who have been inseparable since middle school. They both share a passion for music and have dreams of making it big in the industry. Nick is an aspiring rapper and England is a singer/songwriter, but they’ve hit a wall and are struggling to break into the industry.
Nick has been talking to a girl named Jasmine online for the past two years. They met on a dating app and Nick was immediately drawn to her. Jasmine is a model and a dancer, and Nick was smitten by her beauty and her talent. They’ve been talking every day for the past two years and Nick is convinced that Jasmine is the one for him.
However, England has been skeptical of Jasmine from the beginning. He’s never talked to her directly and he’s always thought that Nick was being catfished. England knows that Nick has been hurt before in relationships and he doesn’t want to see him get hurt again.
When Nick finally decides to introduce Jasmine to England, he’s shocked to find out that she’s never heard of Nick before. Jasmine claims that her account was hacked and that she wasn’t the one who was talking to Nick all these years.
Nick is devastated by this news and doesn’t know what to do. He’s been talking to someone for two years and now he feels like he doesn’t know anything about her. To make matters worse, he’s never actually met Jasmine in person, so he doesn’t know who he’s been talking to all this time.
That’s where Nev and Kamie come in. They agree to help Nick find out the truth about Jasmine and see if there’s any way that they can salvage a relationship between Nick and Jasmine.
As they begin their investigation, the clues start to pile up. They find out that Jasmine’s pictures have been used on multiple dating apps and social media sites. They also discover that the person who’s been talking to Nick has been using multiple fake accounts to keep the conversation going.
Despite all of this, Nick is still hopeful that Jasmine is real and that they can make something work. He’s invested so much time and effort into this relationship that he doesn’t want to give up now.
But as the evidence continues to mount, Nick starts to realize that he may have been played for a fool all this time. He’s devastated by the thought that he’s been talking to someone who’s not who they say they are.
In the end, Nev and Kamie are able to uncover the truth about Jasmine and help Nick move on from this experience. They teach him that it’s important to be cautious when talking to people online and to always be aware of the warning signs of a catfish.
Nick also learns that he has a great support system in England and that he doesn’t need to rely on a relationship to make him happy. He has his music and his best friend, and that’s all he needs to achieve his dreams and find happiness in life.
Overall, this episode of Catfish: The TV Show is a cautionary tale about the dangers of online relationships and the importance of being cautious when talking to people on the internet. It’s a reminder that not everything is as it seems and that it’s important to always verify the identity of the people we’re talking to online.
