Ep 27. Onyx & Lola

Onyx & Lola is the twenty-seventh episode of the ninth season of Catfish: The TV Show. The popular MTV reality series follows hosts Nev Schulman and Kamie Crawford as they help people uncover the true identities of potential partners they have met online. In this episode, they meet Onyx, a young man who has been chatting with a woman named Lola for over a year but has never met her in person.

During their investigation, Nev and Kamie discover that Maria and her boyfriend have been using Lola's photos to catfish other people online for years.

Maria's boyfriend initially denies any involvement in the catfishing but eventually comes clean when he realizes the extent of the damage he and Maria have caused to innocent people. In the end, Nev and Kamie help Onyx confront Maria and her boyfriend and encourage them to seek help for their deceptive behavior and addiction to catfishing.

Onyx & Lola is an eye-opening episode that sheds light on the dangers of online dating and the importance of being truthful about one's identity.
