Ep 16. Stephanie & Danny

Stephanie and Danny have been engaged for four years and have yet to meet in person. Danny has given Stephanie a number of different excuses as to why he can't meet in person, but Stephanie is ready to find out the truth about their relationship. She contacts Nev and Kamie to help her get answers.

Nev and Kamie start their investigation by looking at Danny's social media profiles. They discover that he has only four friends on Facebook, and none of them seem to know him well. Nev and Kamie also notice that Danny's photos look like they were taken from a stock photo website.

The two hosts try to contact Danny through his phone number, but he doesn't pick up. They then decide to call a hotel in the city where Danny lives to see if he's staying there. After some searching, they discover that Danny has indeed checked into the hotel. Nev and Kamie decide to head to the hotel to see if they can finally meet Danny in person.

Upon arriving at the hotel, Nev and Kamie meet Stephanie and set up their cameras in her hotel room. They then head to Danny's room and knock on the door. After a few minutes, Danny answers the door, and Nev and Kamie are shocked by what they see.

Danny is not the person in the photos he's been sending to Stephanie. Instead, he's a much older man who has been using someone else's identity to create a fake online persona. Danny explains that he started chatting with Stephanie online because he was lonely and wanted someone to talk to. He never thought their relationship would go this far.

Stephanie is understandably upset by Danny's deception, but she's also relieved to finally know the truth. Nev and Kamie talk to Stephanie about the importance of honesty in relationships and how it's never too late to start over and find real love.

Danny is remorseful for what he's done and tells Stephanie that he will delete all of his fake profiles and start being honest with himself and others. Stephanie decides to forgive Danny and move on from the deception.

In the follow-up portion of the episode, Nev and Kamie catch up with Stephanie to see how she's doing. Stephanie reveals that she has started dating someone new, and they have already met in person. She thanks Nev and Kamie for helping her find the truth and move forward with her life.
