Traves & Candy is the seventh episode of the seventh season of Catfish: The TV Show. This episode follows Traves, a young man who has been talking to a woman named Candy for three years. Traves met Candy on a gay dating app, but he quickly discovered that she was not who she said she was.

According to Candy, she is a single mother who lives in the same town as Traves. She never gives Traves her phone number, and they have never met in person. They have only communicated through the app and through social media. Traves has grown suspicious of Candy's identity, and he is afraid that she might be a catfish.

Nev and Kamie take on Traves' case and start digging into Candy's online presence. They soon discover that Candy's online persona is fake and that she is not who she says she is. They find pictures of Candy on multiple social media accounts, but each account uses a different name and a different location. They also find that Candy has been using fake phone numbers and has never given Traves her real name.

Nev and Kamie decide to surprise Traves with the news that Candy is not who she says she is. Traves is devastated and heartbroken. He had formed an emotional connection with Candy over the past three years, and he had believed that she was the perfect match for him.

Nev and Kamie decide to help Traves confront Candy about her lies. They set up a meeting for Traves and Candy, and they wait for Candy to arrive. When Candy finally arrives, Traves is shocked to discover that she is not a woman at all. Instead, Candy is a man named DeWayne.

DeWayne tells Traves that he created the Candy persona as a way to cope with his own insecurities about his sexuality. He felt more comfortable talking to men as Candy rather than as himself. DeWayne apologizes to Traves for his lies and begs for forgiveness.

Traves is understandably upset by the news, but he decides to forgive DeWayne. He understands that DeWayne was struggling with his own identity, and he appreciates that DeWayne came clean and took responsibility for his actions.

The episode ends with Traves and DeWayne hugging and saying goodbye. Traves admits that he is still processing his emotions, but he is grateful for the closure that Nev and Kamie were able to provide him with. The episode serves as a reminder that not everything is as it seems online, and that it's important to be careful when forming online relationships.
