Nae & Brannon are the focus of Catfish: The TV Show season 7 episode 16. In this episode, Nae, a 20-year-old from Louisiana, is seeking Nev and Max’s help in identifying her online love interest, Brannon. They have never met in person, but Nae has been in an online relationship with him for the past year and a half.

Nae and Brannon originally met on Snapchat, and over time, their conversations progressed to the point where they exchanged phone numbers. Nae describes Brannon as her “soulmate” and the “love of her life,” but she’s never been able to get a clear picture of him. According to Nae, Brannon is a truck driver who is often on the road, which is why they haven’t met in person. But despite his absence, Nae truly believes that Brannon is the real deal.

However, Nae’s friends and family are skeptical of her relationship with Brannon. Her sister, Madi, in particular, is convinced that Brannon is catfishing Nae. Madi has noticed inconsistencies in Brannon’s stories, and his social media profiles have few followers and even fewer posts. Madi thinks that someone might be using fake pictures and information to lure Nae into a false sense of security.

Nae is torn between her love for Brannon and her concern that he might not be who he claims to be. She wants to believe that he’s real, but she’s also afraid that she’s being deceived. That’s where Nev and Max come in. They agree to help Nae uncover the truth about Brannon and finally put her doubts to rest.

To get to the bottom of things, Nev and Max investigate Brannon’s social media accounts and follow some digital breadcrumbs. They eventually get in touch with a man who claims to be Brannon, but there’s a catch. The man says that he’s not really Brannon—he’s someone else who has been using Brannon’s pictures and information to catfish Nae.

Nae feels devastated upon learning the truth. She had invested so much of her time and emotions into her relationship with Brannon, only to find out that he wasn’t real. However, Nev and Max encourage her to stay positive. They remind her that she’s not alone, and that there are plenty of other fish in the sea who could be a better match for her.

Overall, Nae & Brannon is a cautionary tale about the dangers of online relationships. While it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement and fantasy of an internet romance, it’s important to remember that not everything is as it seems. Nev and Max’s investigation shows us that there are people out there who will use fake personas to deceive and manipulate others. It’s up to us to be vigilant and protect ourselves from falling victim to these types of scams.
