Ep 2. Alante & Nevaeh

Alante & Nevaeh is the second episode of season 6 of the hit MTV show, Catfish: The TV Show. This episode follows Alante, a young man who has been in a long-distance relationship with the woman of his dreams, Nevaeh for two years. Despite never having met face-to-face, the two have formed a deep connection and have talked about getting married and starting a family together. However, Alante has never been able to video chat with Nevaeh and has grown increasingly suspicious of her motives.

Nevah tells Alante that she is a model and an actress living in Los Angeles, but when Alante attempts to visit her, he is met with a series of excuses and ultimately, disappointment. With the help of Nev and Max, Alante decides to get to the bottom of Nevaeh’s true identity and intentions.

As Nev and Max begin their investigation, they realize that Nevaeh’s social media profiles are suspiciously empty and that her photos are all heavily edited. They also discover that Nevaeh has given Alante different phone numbers over the past two years which raises more red flags.

Meanwhile, Alante’s family and friends are concerned about his relationship with Nevaeh. They worry that he is being duped by someone who isn’t really who they claim to be. Despite their concerns, Alante remains convinced that Nevaeh is the woman he loves and that they have a real connection.

Nev and Max eventually uncover Nevaeh’s real identity, and it's not what anyone expected. They discover that Nevaeh is actually a young man named Dallas who lives in the same city as Alante. Dallas admits that he has been pretending to be Nevaeh for the past two years because he was bored and wanted to mess with people online.

Alante is devastated by the news and feels like his entire world has been turned upside down. He is angry at Dallas for playing with his emotions and leading him on for so long. However, Dallas shows remorse for his actions and apologizes for hurting Alante.

In the end, Alante realizes that he needs to move on from his relationship with Nevaeh/Dallas and start focusing on himself. He acknowledges that he has been ignoring important parts of his life, such as school and family, in order to maintain his relationship with Nevaeh. Alante ultimately decides to use his experience to help others who may be going through similar situations.
