Ep 13. Falesha & Jacqueline

Falesha and Jacqueline have been best friends for seven years, bonding over their shared experiences with being teen mothers. Falesha met her boyfriend, Jacquelyn, online and they've been dating for over a year, but Falesha has never seen her in person or video chatted with her. Jacqueline is suspicious, and after a falling out with Falesha, she decides to reach out to Nev and Max to investigate. The detectives are concerned that Falesha is being catfished and that Jacqelyn is not who she says she is. They travel to Falesha's hometown, Valley, Nebraska, to meet with her and Jacqueline.

Upon their arrival, Nev and Max meet with Falesha and learn more about her relationship with Jacqelyn. Falesha is convinced that Jacqelyn is real and has been open with her about her criminal past and her struggles with addiction. Falesha has even sent Jacqelyn money to help her out, which Nev and Max find concerning. They decide to do some digging and discover that Jacqelyn's phone number is associated with multiple Facebook accounts, none of which appear to be real.

Nev and Max confront Falesha and show her the evidence they've found. Falesha is devastated and insists that she wants to meet Jacqelyn in person to see if their relationship is real. Together, they hatch a plan to fly to California and surprise Jacqelyn at her doorstep. They reach out to Jacqelyn's sister and convince her to help them with the surprise. But when they arrive in California, they are met with a shocking revelation that turns everything upside down.

Falesha and Jacqueline are left reeling as they try to piece together what happened. Nev and Max speak to both Falesha and Jacqueline separately to get their perspectives and help them navigate their emotions. As they try to uncover the truth, they are met with unexpected twists and turns that leave them questioning everything they thought they knew about Jacqelyn.

In the end, the truth is revealed, and it's more shocking than anyone could have imagined. Falesha and Jacqueline have to come to terms with the reality of their situation and find a way to move forward. Nev and Max help them come up with a plan to deal with the fallout from their experience and support them as they try to rebuild their lives.
