When a US Marshall goes missing, the New York City Police Department brings in Detective Kate Beckett to help with the investigation. With the help of Castle, Beckett infiltrates a drug ring to try and locate the missing Marshall and find out who is behind the operation. As they delve deeper into the dangerous world of drugs and money, Beckett must balance her undercover persona with her own identity, all while trying to stay alive. Meanwhile, Castle deals with his own personal issues, including the mysterious disappearance of someone from his past.
