Dani is accused of being an accessory to a hit-and-run accident that killed a pedestrian. Caronte reluctantly agrees to take on the case.

As Caronte investigates the case, he and his team discover that Dani's girlfriend, Andrea, was the one driving the car during the accident. They also learn that Dani accepted the blame so that Andrea, who had recently been released from prison and was on parole, wouldn't be sent back to jail. Caronte presents this evidence in court, and Dani is acquitted of all charges.

The episode ends with Caronte and Alba having dinner at a restaurant. Although the two still have their issues, they seem to be making progress in repairing their relationship.

Overall, the first episode of Caronte sets up the show and the character of Samuel Caronte. We see glimpses of his personal life, which will undoubtedly be explored further in the series, and witness his unorthodox methods in action.
