Ep 9. First Date

Kat is a single woman who just turned 39, but she isn't letting her age stop her from living her best life and pursuing her dreams. In this episode, Kat finally goes on a first date with one of her bookstore customers, Max. She is a little nervous, but excited to explore this new possibility for a relationship.

Meanwhile, Kat's employee Randi is experiencing relationship troubles of her own. She thought she found her soulmate in Attila, but after spending all their time together, she's starting to realize that they might not be as compatible as she thought. She confides in Kat about her doubts, and Kat does her best to be a supportive friend.

As the date with Max approaches, Kat's nerves begin to take over. She turns to her friends and family for advice on what to wear and how to act, but ultimately decides to just be herself and have fun. The date starts off well, with Kat and Max bonding over their love of books, but things take a turn when the conversation turns to relationships.

Kat is looking for something serious, while Max just wants to keep things casual. They struggle to find common ground, but ultimately decide to give each other a chance and see where things go. Meanwhile, Randi decides to take a break from Attila and figure things out on her own.

At the end of the episode, Kat reflects on her first date with Max and decides that, while it might not have been perfect, it was a step in the right direction. She's excited to see where this new relationship could go, and is grateful for the friends and family who support her along the way.
