Call Me Kat season 1 episode 7, titled "Eggs," follows Kat, a 39-year-old single woman who quits her job to open a cat café in Louisville, Kentucky. In this episode, Kat realizes she wants to have children, but she's not sure if she's ready for a serious relationship. Her mother, Sheila, comes to visit her, and although Kat is excited to see her, she's not thrilled about her mom's unwanted advice.

The episode opens with the cat café getting a surprise visit from city councilman Jack Lacey. He's impressed by the business and tells Kat that he's going to help her get a donation for the café. Kat is ecstatic, and as she thanks him, she realizes they have chemistry. However, she brushes off the butterflies in her stomach and focuses on her business.

Later, Kat visits her best friend Tara, who has two children. Seeing how happy Tara is with her family, Kat realizes she wants kids of her own. However, being a single woman, she's not sure if having children is feasible.

When Kat's mom, Sheila, arrives in town, she wastes no time in telling Kat that she needs to find a man and settle down. Sheila also implies that Kat should focus on getting pregnant since she's running out of time. Kat is annoyed by her mom's advice, but at the same time, she recognizes that Sheila has a point. She wants a family, but she's not sure where to begin.

Meanwhile, Jack Lacey offers to drive Kat and her mom to pick up some eggs from his friend's farm. On the way there, the three of them end up bonding and having a great time. When they arrive at the farm, they meet a couple with a baby, and Kat realizes that having a family is something she wants even more.

Back at the cat café, Kat's mom surprises her by bringing in a potential suitor for Kat. His name is Rich, and although he seems perfect on paper, Kat doesn't feel any chemistry with him. She ends up feigning illness to avoid a date with him, and her mom is disappointed.

Later, Jack returns to the café and asks Kat out on a date. She's flattered but hesitant since she's not sure if it's a good idea to mix business with pleasure. However, she ends up accepting, and they have a great time together. Kat thinks that Jack might be the one, but she's not ready to jump into a relationship just yet.

The episode ends with Kat's mom leaving town, and Kat feeling conflicted about her desire for a family and her fear of being a single parent. She knows it's not going to be easy, but she also knows that she's ready to take the first step.

Overall, Call Me Kat season 1 episode 7 is an emotional and relatable episode that explores the complexities of starting a family as a single woman. It's a must-watch episode for anyone who's ever felt unsure about their own desires and aspirations.
