In the second season of the hit Canadian comedy series Call Me Fitz, episode nine is titled "Repo Wedding" and features a hilarious storyline that is sure to leave fans of the show in stitches.
As the name suggests, the episode centers around a wedding, but this is no ordinary wedding. It is the nuptials between Fitz (played by Jason Priestley) and his girlfriend, Ali (played by Kathleen Munroe), and it is taking place in the repo yard where Fitz works.
Despite its unusual location, the wedding is shaping up to be a beautiful affair, with Ali looking stunning in her wedding dress and Fitz looking dashing in his suit. However, as with any wedding, there are bound to be a few hiccups along the way.
Firstly, Fitz's mother, Elaine (played by Joanna Cassidy), is not in attendance, and Fitz is devastated by her absence. He tries to brush it off, telling himself that it doesn't matter, but his feelings of hurt and rejection are palpable.
Secondly, Fitz's brother, Ken (played by Ernie Grunwald), is acting strange. He is jittery and nervous, and keeps disappearing at random intervals throughout the day. Fitz can't shake the feeling that something is up, but can't quite put his finger on what it could be.
Finally, as the wedding ceremony is about to begin, Ali's father suddenly shows up, looking disheveled and disoriented. He has come to try and stop the wedding, believing that Fitz is not good enough for his daughter. Ali tries to calm him down, but it quickly becomes apparent that he is not going to leave without causing a scene.
Despite all of these setbacks, the wedding goes ahead as planned, and Ali and Fitz exchange their vows in front of their friends and family. It is a beautiful moment, and one that Fitz will remember for the rest of his life.
However, as the newlyweds prepare to leave the repo yard and head off on their honeymoon, they are confronted by an unexpected visitor. It is a man named Mike, who claims that Fitz owes him money and is there to repossess his car.
Fitz is furious, insisting that he has paid his debts in full. But Mike is adamant, and things quickly escalate into a full-blown brawl. As punches fly and tempers flare, it becomes clear that this is not the happy ending that Fitz and Ali had imagined.
Overall, "Repo Wedding" is a hilarious episode of Call Me Fitz that is full of surprises and unexpected twists. From the wacky wedding location to the dramatic fight scene at the end, it is an episode that is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats from beginning to end.
