Fitz is back to his usual scheming ways in episode 2 of season 1, titled "Loco". After a near-death experience in the previous episode, Fitz is back to business as usual and is intent on making a buck any way he can.
The episode begins with Fitz trying to sell a used car to a hapless customer who clearly doesn't know much about cars. Fitz tries to convince him that the car is in great condition, despite its obvious flaws. When the customer takes the car for a test drive, it breaks down in the middle of the road.
Fitz's next scheme involves getting involved in the local horse-racing scene. He sets up a meeting with a wealthy investor who has a horse that he's convinced will win big at the upcoming race. Fitz, always the smooth talker, talks the investor into letting him manage the horse, promising him big returns.
Of course, as with most of Fitz's schemes, things don't go as planned. The horse, named Loco, turns out to be a complete disaster. He's untrainable and unpredictable, causing chaos everywhere he goes. Despite this, Fitz continues to try and make things work with the horse, even going so far as to enter him in the race despite all odds being against them.
Meanwhile, Fitz's sister-in-law, Dot, is dealing with her own problems. She's trying to convince her son, Ken, to attend a prestigious music school, but he's hesitant to leave his small town and pursue his dreams. Dot is also dealing with a growing attraction to a local police officer, who has his own reasons for getting close to her.
As the episode progresses, we see Fitz getting more and more desperate to make Loco a success. He enlists help from his father, who is a former jockey, and his son, Larry, who is a betting prodigy. Despite their best efforts, Loco continues to be a disaster, causing chaos wherever he goes.
In the end, Fitz realizes that he's made a huge mistake and decides to cut his losses. He sells Loco at a loss and apologizes to his investor, promising to make it up to him with another scheme. Dot, meanwhile, decides to take a chance on her budding romance with the police officer and Ken agrees to attend the music school.
Overall, episode 2 of season 1 of Call Me Fitz is a hilarious, fast-paced adventure that showcases Fitz's trademark charm and scheming ways. Despite his flaws, Fitz is a lovable rogue who always manages to find a way to get what he wants.
