Hank Moody faces the consequences of his actions in the season four finale of Californication, aptly titled "And Justice for All."

As the episode begins, Hank is in hot water after sleeping with a 16-year-old girl and punching her boyfriend in the face. He's facing a possible prison sentence and is desperately trying to come up with a way to make things right. Adding to his stress is the fact that he has yet to finish his latest book and his ex-girlfriend Karen is preparing to move to New York with her new fiance.

Despite his many missteps, Hank is still a beloved figure in the eyes of his daughter Becca. She's convinced that he's actually a good man at heart and encourages him to turn his life around. With Becca's encouragement, Hank begins taking steps to redeem himself. He apologizes to the girl he slept with and her boyfriend, and even agrees to help the boy with his college application essay.

Hank's road to redemption takes a major turn when he receives a surprise visit from his lawyer Abby, who informs him that the charges against him have been dropped. Hank is overjoyed and relieved, but as Abby points out, he still has a lot of work to do if he wants to truly make things right.

Meanwhile, Karen is struggling with her own issues as she prepares to leave Los Angeles. She's conflicted about leaving Becca behind and wonders if she's making the right decision by starting a new life with her fiance. Her doubts are only compounded when she runs into Hank at a coffee shop.

At first, Karen is cold toward Hank, still hurt by his past mistakes and unwilling to forgive him. But as they talk more, she begins to soften, remembering what drew her to him in the first place. The two share a brief but intense moment of nostalgia before Karen pulls away, reminding herself that she needs to move on with her life.

The episode ends with Hank standing on a beach, watching the sunset and contemplating his future. He still has a lot of work to do if he wants to become the kind of man he knows he can be, but he's finally on the right track.

Overall, "And Justice for All" is a fitting end to a strong season of Californication. It offers a satisfying conclusion to the many storylines that have been building throughout the season and sets the stage for what's to come in season five. Fans of the show won't want to miss this emotional and thought-provoking finale.
