Hank and Karen are still dealing with their relationship issues, while also trying to co-parent their daughter Becca. In this episode, Hank is approached by a record producer named Lew Ashby, who wants him to ghostwrite his memoirs. Despite initial reservations, Hank agrees to take the job, and begins accompanying Lew to various industry parties and events.
Meanwhile, Karen is struggling with her own feelings towards Hank and their current situation. She confides in a friend, who advises her to move on and start dating again. Karen begins seeing a man named Ben, but their relationship is anything but smooth sailing.
As Hank spends more and more time with Lew, he begins to realize that there is more to the rock star's lifestyle than just the glitz and glamour. Lew is struggling with his own demons, including a drug addiction and strained relationships with his family. Hank tries to offer support and guidance, but finds himself getting pulled into Lew's chaotic world.
Back at home, Becca is dealing with her own teenage dramas and developing her own interests outside of her parents' shadow. She becomes increasingly close to her neighbor, Mia, who seems to have a mysterious past and a hidden agenda.
As the episode progresses, the various storylines intersect and collide in unexpected ways. Hank's loyalty to Lew is tested, Karen's relationship with Ben takes a dramatic turn, and Becca discovers a shocking truth about Mia and her motivations.
