In Caillou season 5 episode 16, titled "Where is Mars?", our favorite curious little boy Caillou is introduced to the wonders of outer space. Caillou's excitement is piqued when his dad explains that they'll be able to see the planet Mars in the sky tonight, and he can't wait to learn more about it.

To get a better understanding of the solar system and Mars, Caillou heads straight to the library with his dad. There, he discovers books about planets and space travel, and is fascinated to learn about the different features of Mars. One fact that particularly sticks out to him is that Mars is known as the "red planet" due to its reddish appearance caused by iron oxide or rust on its surface.

After his trip to the library, Caillou can hardly contain his excitement about the upcoming opportunity to see the planet for himself. But when the night arrives, cloudy weather threatens to ruin his chance to see Mars. Disappointed, Caillou eventually falls asleep, only to be woken up when his dad comes to his room to tell him that the sky has cleared up and they can finally see Mars.

As they step outside, Caillou's dad shows him different stars and constellations, but Caillou's eyes are fixed on finding Mars. When they finally spot the planet, Caillou is amazed by its reddish glow and its position in the sky. He's even more surprised when his dad tells him that people have been to Mars and have sent rovers to explore it.

The next day, Caillou is still amazed by his experience and can't stop thinking about space exploration. During a trip to the park, he tells his friends Leo and Clementine all about the planets in our solar system, and even teaches them how to spot Mars in the sky. The trio begins to imagine what it would be like to explore other planets and even meets a little girl named Rosie who is also interested in space.

"Where is Mars?" is a fun and educational episode of Caillou that teaches kids about the wonders of space and the importance of curiosity. With its engaging storyline and relatable characters, it's sure to capture the attention of young viewers and inspire them to learn more about the world around them.
