In BuzzFeed Unsolved: Supernatural season 4 episode 6, entitled "The Spirits of Moon River Brewing," Ryan and Shane travel to Savannah, Georgia to investigate the allegedly haunted Moon River Brewing Company.
Upon arrival, they are met with a charming and historic building that exudes a welcoming atmosphere. However, as the duo begins speaking with locals and staff members, they quickly discover that the brewery has a dark and unsettling history.
Constructed in the mid-19th century, the building served as a hotel and hospital during the Civil War. It later became a brewery, but was forced to close in 1915 due to Prohibition. Following Prohibition, the building was used as a lumberyard, an antique store, and a restaurant.
Throughout the years, numerous accounts of unexplained activity have been reported at the brewery, including shadow figures, ghostly apparitions, and disembodied voices. In fact, the brewery has been featured on several paranormal investigation shows and has gained a reputation as one of the most haunted buildings in the United States.
Ryan and Shane dive into the investigation, using a combination of techniques including EVPs (electronic voice phenomena), EMF (electromagnetic field) detectors, and thermal cameras. As they explore the brewery, they encounter several strange occurrences, including apparent disembodied voices and doors that seemingly open and close on their own.
Throughout the episode, the duo is joined by a psychic medium who attempts to communicate with the spirits allegedly haunting the brewery. Using a variety of methods, including tarot cards and pendulums, she attempts to uncover the identity and motivations of the ghosts.
As the investigation continues, Ryan and Shane begin to question whether the paranormal activity at the brewery is due to actual spirits or simply the power of suggestion. They grapple with the idea that many of the reported occurrences could be easily explained by mundane factors, such as drafts and creaky floorboards.
Despite their skepticism, however, the duo remains open and curious throughout the investigation, always seeking to explore every possible explanation. The result is an engaging and captivating episode that will leave viewers wondering whether the spirits of Moon River Brewing really exist or whether it's all merely a figment of the imagination.
