Ep 8. Where There's Smoke

Michael is looking into a case involving arson, while also trying to uncover more about who is behind the burn notice that ruined his career. He's approached by an old spy who offers him the chance to get back into the CIA, but to do so he'll have to help take down a dangerous group of terrorists.

Meanwhile, Fiona is dealing with a dangerous job of her own. She's recruited by a wealthy client to steal a rare painting from a museum, but when she discovers that the painting is being protected by a highly sophisticated security system, she realizes she's in over her head. With the help of Sam and Jesse, she sets out to figure out how to get past the security and steal the painting.

As Michael investigates the arson case, he discovers that the fire was set to cover up a robbery. With the help of an ex-con who was in on the job, Michael tracks down the ringleader of the group and sets a trap to catch him in the act. However, things quickly go wrong when the ringleader realizes he's being set up and tries to escape.

In the end, both Michael and Fiona succeed in their respective missions, but not without facing dangerous and potentially deadly situations. And as Michael inches closer to uncovering the truth behind his burn notice, he realizes that the situation is more complicated and dangerous than he ever imagined.
