Michael and his team are tasked with helping a man named Simon. Simon has a rare condition that has left him completely blind, but he is also a genius when it comes to technology. Simon has developed an algorithm that could potentially predict terrorist attacks, but he needs Michael and his team's help to get it into the right hands.
The team starts by breaking into a high-tech facility to steal some equipment that Simon needs to complete the algorithm. Michael and Sam get involved with a group of college students who are protesting the facility, using them as a distraction while Fiona and Simon sneak in to get the equipment.
Once they have the equipment, Simon is able to complete the algorithm, but the team quickly realizes that they need to be careful with who they share it with. Simon has made enemies in the past, and they don't want the wrong people getting their hands on such a powerful tool.
Meanwhile, Michael is dealing with some personal issues of his own. He's still reeling from the death of his father and is struggling to keep it together. He starts to get paranoid, even accusing his friends of betraying him. This puts a strain on his relationships with Fiona and Sam, as they start to worry about his mental state.
As they try to figure out what to do with the algorithm, they are approached by a man named John Barrett, who claims to work for the CIA. He tells Michael and his team that the algorithm could be incredibly dangerous in the wrong hands, and that they need to turn it over to the government immediately.
Michael is hesitant to trust anyone from the CIA, given his history with the organization, but he ultimately decides to work with Barrett. They turn over the algorithm and everything seems to be going well until Michael realizes that they've been set up.
Barrett was never working for the CIA – he was actually working for Simon's enemies. They wanted the algorithm for themselves and used Barrett to get it. Michael and his team are left to deal with the fallout, trying to protect Simon while also getting revenge on those who have tried to betray them.
In the end, they are able to take down the bad guys and protect Simon. Michael also starts to come to terms with the death of his father, realizing that he needs to grieve and move on. The episode ends with the team back at their loft, ready for whatever comes next.
