In Building Alaska season 4 episode 6, titled Independence Day, the three teams of builders are working hard to finish their cabins before the snowy Alaskan winter sets in. With only a few weeks left until the deadline, tensions are high and the pressure is on to complete the builds.
On the first team, Mike and his son-in-law Cole are building an off-the-grid hunting cabin deep in the wilderness. They face unexpected setbacks when they discover their truck has been damaged by a falling tree. The two have to decide whether to continue working with limited supplies or take a dangerous journey to town to get replacement parts.
The second team, led by Lee Raymond, is building a modern cabin with a beautiful view of the nearby lake. However, the team's progress is stalled when their truck gets stuck in the mud and has to be towed out. The delay puts them behind schedule, and they are forced to work overtime to make up the lost time.
Finally, on the third team, Adam and his brother Aaron are building an eco-friendly cabin using only materials found on-site. They face their biggest challenge yet when they attempt to construct a massive roof using recycled materials. The roof proves to be more difficult than anticipated, and the brothers have to work late into the night to complete it.
As the deadline looms, all three teams face their own unique challenges that threaten to prevent them from completing their builds in time. However, with fierce determination and a true love of the Alaskan wilderness, they all push through and achieve their dreams of creating their own little slice of paradise in the Last Frontier.
