In the season 4 episode 10 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer titled "Hush," the town of Sunnydale falls under a spell that prevents everyone from speaking. A group of demon-like creatures called The Gentlemen arrive in town and start stealing the voices of its inhabitants, causing chaos and confusion.
