Additionally, they must contend with dangerous native creatures, including giant sandworms that can swallow whole vehicles.
As the crew continues their search, they discover that the cyclotrate is being guarded by a powerful tribe of warriors known as the Sand Riders. The Sand Riders are fiercely independent and have no allegiance to the Draconians, making them potential allies. However, they are also notoriously dangerous and unpredictable.
Buck and Wilma must use all of their skills to negotiate with the Sand Riders and gain their trust. But even if they are successful, they must still contend with the traitor on board the Searcher, who is lurking in the shadows and waiting to strike.
