Ep 16. Nutriboom

In season 5 episode 16 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, titled "Nutriboom," the detectives of the 99th precinct find themselves investigating a pyramid scheme that has taken over the city. The scheme, called Nutriboom, is a health food company that promises to change people's lives with their products, but in reality is just a money-making scam.

The episode begins with Jake and Rosa discovering that their friend Terry has fallen victim to the Nutriboom scheme. They decide to investigate the company and try to convince Terry to quit before it's too late. They soon learn that Nutriboom is everywhere, with people all over the city joining the program and buying into the hype.

Meanwhile, Captain Holt is dealing with his own issues, as he tries to keep the precinct running smoothly while also dealing with personal problems with his husband Kevin. He is distracted and stressed, which causes tension with the rest of the team.

As the detectives dig deeper into the Nutriboom scheme, they discover that the company is not what it seems. They meet with the creator of Nutriboom, who turns out to be a former con artist who has a long history of scamming people. They also learn that the company is not even selling real food, but rather packs of powder that customers are supposed to mix with water in order to create their own meal replacements.

Despite the evidence against Nutriboom, Terry and many other people around the city refuse to believe that they have been scammed. They continue to invest more money in the program, hoping to make a bigger profit in the end. Jake and Rosa are determined to stop the company and convince their friend to get out before it's too late.

In the end, with the help of the rest of the team, Jake and Rosa are able to shut down Nutriboom and expose the fraud behind the company. Terry and the other victims finally see the truth and are grateful to the detectives for saving them from financial ruin.

The episode ends with Captain Holt resolving his personal issues with Kevin and the precinct returning to its normal, functioning state. The detectives of the 99th precinct may have solved another case, but they will always be ready for the next challenge that comes their way.
