Ep 1. Mr. Whiskers's First Friend / The Babysitter's Flub

Brandy & Mr. Whiskers is a quirky animated series that premiered in 2004, and centers around a pampered pooch named Brandy and a scatter-brained rabbit named Mr. Whiskers who are stranded in the Amazon rainforest after a mishap involving an airplane. In the end, Brandy reluctantly admits that Eduardo is a good friend to Mr. Whiskers, and the three of them continue to hang out.

In "The Babysitter's Flub", Brandy and Mr. Whiskers are left in charge of an egg by a mother bird who needs to go find food. Mr. Whiskers is excited to finally have something to take care of, but Brandy is less than thrilled. Things start off well enough, but Mr. Whiskers's enthusiasm quickly becomes overwhelming. He tries to teach the egg how to swim, how to fly, and even how to dance. Brandy tries to reign him in, but ends up losing her patience and snapping at him. This causes Mr. Whiskers to run away, leaving Brandy alone with the egg. Just when things seem to be calming down, a group of spider monkeys come crashing into the treehouse and cause chaos. In the commotion, the egg ends up getting knocked around and lands in a jungle river. Brandy and Mr. Whiskers are forced to team up to save the egg, and in the end they succeed. Mr. Whiskers apologizes for being so overenthusiastic, and Brandy accepts his apology.

Overall, "Mr. Whiskers's First Friend / The Babysitter's Flub" is a fun and lighthearted introduction to the world of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers. The characters are all endearing in their own way, and the humor is silly without being too juvenile. The first part of the episode shows that despite their differences, Brandy and Mr. Whiskers make a good team when they work together. The second part reinforces this idea by showing that even when they argue, they still care about each other and are willing to put their differences aside to achieve a common goal.
