In Boys over Flowers season 1 episode 2, viewers are introduced to our lead character, Jan Di, as she embarks on her first day at Shin Hwa High School. The school is known for its elite students, and the atmosphere is intimidating for a girl like Jan Di who comes from a lower social class.
Jan Di quickly realizes that she doesn't fit in with the other students, especially the "F4" — a group of four wealthy and powerful boys who rule the school. The F4 consists of Jun Pyo, Yi Jung, Woo Bin, and Ji Hoo, who are all handsome and charismatic.
Despite Jan Di's initial misgivings about the F4, she catches the eye of Jun Pyo, who is known for his cold and arrogant demeanor. Jun Pyo is intrigued by Jan Di's bold and fearless attitude, and he begins to pursue her.
However, Jan Di rebuffs his advances and makes it clear that she doesn't want anything to do with him. This spurs Jun Pyo to take action, and he orders the entire school to bully Jan Di in an attempt to force her to give in to his advances.
Meanwhile, Jan Di's friend, Ga Eul, also attends Shin Hwa High School and forms a connection with Yi Jung. However, she soon realizes that he has a reputation for being a player, and she starts to question whether he has any genuine feelings for her.
As Jan Di struggles to navigate the complicated world of Shin Hwa High School, she also finds herself drawn to Ji Hoo, the sensitive and artistic member of the F4. Ji Hoo is kind to Jan Di and helps her when she's in need, making her question her initial judgement of the F4.
Overall, episode 2 sets up the central conflict of the series — Jan Di's resistance to Jun Pyo's advances and the consequences that come with defying the powerful F4. The episode also highlights the complexity of the relationships between the F4 members and their respective love interests, setting up the romantic tension that will drive the series forward.
