In season 3 episode 7 of Botched, entitled "Seeing Double," plastic surgeons Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif continue their mission to help patients who have been left with disastrous results from previous procedures.
The episode features two patients with identical issues: they both received botched Brazilian butt lifts which have left them with bulges and unevenness. The first patient, a former bodybuilder named Luana, seeks out the doctors after her previous surgeon left her with a sagging and lopsided posterior. After examining Luana, the doctors determine that she has significant scarring and is in need of a complex revision surgery. The surgery is risky and Dr. Dubrow warns Luana that there is a chance she may not achieve the results she is hoping for, but she decides to move forward with the operation regardless.
The second patient is a woman named Denise who has also been left with a disproportionate behind after a botched Brazilian butt lift. Denise has a unique situation in that she is a bodybuilder with a very muscular physique. The doctors have to take her muscle mass into consideration when performing her revision surgery in order to create a natural-looking result. Dr. Nassif is particularly concerned about the possibility of Denise's body rejecting the fat grafts used in the procedure because of her muscle mass, but ultimately they are able to achieve a successful outcome.
In addition to the Brazilian butt lift revisions, the episode also features a woman named Jenny who has a droopy chin and a nose that is too wide for her face. Dr. Nassif determines that the best course of action is to perform a chin implant to improve the structure of her face, and a nose job to refine its appearance. The doctors are cautious during the surgery due to the fact that Jenny has a history of keloid scarring, but ultimately the procedures are successful and Jenny is thrilled with the results.
Finally, the episode features a man named Daryl who comes to the doctors seeking a revision of a rhinoplasty he had done 17 years prior. The previous surgery left Daryl with a collapsed nostril and a crooked nose. Dr. Dubrow is able to fix the collapsed nostril, but the crookedness of Daryl's nose proves to be a greater challenge. The doctors determine that Daryl's nasal bone is completely twisted, which makes the surgery more difficult than expected. However, they are ultimately able to straighten Daryl's nose and give him the result he has been hoping for.
Overall, "Seeing Double" is an episode that showcases the incredible skills of Dr. Dubrow and Dr. Nassif as they work to correct the mistakes of previous surgeons. The episode highlights the risks and challenges involved in revision surgeries and the dedication of the doctors to achieve the best possible outcomes for their patients. So, viewers are going to enjoy a lot by watching this episode.
