In the eleventh episode of Botched's second season, titled "Say Yes to the Breasts," Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif, two of the most renowned plastic surgeons, take on two very different cases of botched breast surgeries.
The first woman, Jacqui, had previously undergone four breast surgeries, including two augmentations, a reduction, and a lift. However, her implants have shifted and have resulted in one breast being significantly larger than the other. Not only does this cause physical discomfort, but it also impacts her self-confidence. In order to fix this issue, the doctors must remove the old implants and use new ones to achieve a more symmetrical and natural look.
The second patient, Danika, is a model who was dissatisfied with the natural size of her breasts and underwent three augmentations in just six months. However, her third surgery resulted in complications, and now her implants have slipped under her arm pits, leaving her with a very unnatural appearance. Dr. Dubrow and Dr. Nassif must perform a complex surgery that not only removes the old implants but also creates a natural breast fold to restore Danika's confidence.
As always, the doctors must navigate unique challenges with each surgery, from ensuring that scar tissue is removed to ensuring symmetry and contour are achieved. The show also touches on the psychological impact these surgeries can have on patients and the importance of listening to their needs to achieve the best possible outcome.
"Say Yes to the Breasts" is a powerful episode that showcases the expertise and compassion of Dr. Dubrow and Dr. Nassif. It highlights the importance of plastic surgery as a tool for increasing self-confidence and correcting past mistakes, while also emphasizing the importance of choosing a qualified plastic surgeon who takes the time to listen to their patients' desires.
