The episode opens with Shirley Schmidt, a senior partner at the firm, seeking legal advice from Alan Shore, the firm’s resident bad boy and skilled lawyer. He has claimed that she is his dream woman and is certain that she is the one for him. He confides in his best friend and fellow lawyer, Alan Shore. Shore, however, is skeptical of Crane’s claims and takes it upon himself to investigate.
The episode takes a surprising turn when it is revealed that the woman Crane has been pining for is, in fact, none other than , Shirley Schmidt. The revelation leaves viewers stunned and sets the stage for a dramatic confrontation between the two characters.
