Ep 10. Always/All Ways

Detective Harry Bosch is back in the finale episode of season one titled Always/All Ways. It has been an intense ride for Bosch, both professionally and personally. In the previous episode, he found himself at the wrong side of the justice system and was suspended from the department. However, his suspension is cut short on the orders of the police chief, and he is back on the case.

With the help of his partner Edgar and the few clues they have, they start piecing together the details of the murder. But things aren't as straightforward as they seem. The victim, Patrick, was a lovable man who was adored by his fellow homeless people. Based on witness accounts, the detectives learn that Patrick was last seen walking with a man named Calexico Moore. However, their investigation leads them to believe that Calexico might not even exist.

The episode also delves into Bosch's personal life, and we see him reconnecting with his daughter Maddie. He has not been the best father, but he is trying to make amends. Maddie has been living with her mother and stepfather, but she decides to move in with Bosch. Their conversations throughout the episode are touching, and we see a softer side of Bosch that we haven't seen before.

Always/All Ways also deals with the fallout from the previous episode's events, and we see Bosch fighting to clear his name. He is determined to bring down the corrupt cops who set him up and is working tirelessly to clear his reputation. However, he finds himself at odds with Internal Affairs, who are investigating his case.

The acting in Always/All Ways is top-notch, with Titus Welliver delivering a standout performance as Harry Bosch. His portrayal of the tough detective, who is unflinching in his pursuit of justice, is excellent. Madison Lintz, who plays Maddie, also delivers an impressive performance, and her scenes with Welliver are heartwarming.

Overall, Always/All Ways is a satisfying conclusion to the season. It ties up loose ends while also setting the groundwork for the next season. The episode does an excellent job of wrapping up the murder investigation, while also leaving the audience hungry for what's to come. Fans of the show will not be disappointed.
