  • February 23, 2016

Born Again Virgin is a comedy-drama series that revolves around the life of Jenna, a 30-something-year-old writer who makes the decision to hold off on sex until she finds the perfect partner. In season 2 episode 4, titled "We Build Monsters," Jenna (Danielle Nicolet) and her friends decide to attend a "Build-A-Man" workshop, where they will be taught how to create the perfect partner.

The episode begins with Jenna and her friends, Kelly (Meagan Holder) and Tara (Eva Marcille), attending a self-help seminar where they are introduced to the "Build-A-Man" workshop. The event is led by a charismatic man named Dr. Scott (Gary Dourdan) who promises to teach the women how to build the perfect man.

As the workshop begins, the women are given a list of characteristics and qualities they would like their ideal partner to possess. They are then instructed to create a life-sized cardboard cutout of their perfect man, complete with all of the physical and personality traits they desire.

While Jenna is hesitant about the whole idea, she eventually gets caught up in the excitement and creates her own cardboard cutout. However, it quickly becomes clear that the workshop is not all it appears to be. The women soon discover that Dr. Scott has his own agenda, and his methods may not be as helpful as they first seemed.

As the workshop progresses, Jenna finds herself increasingly drawn to Dr. Scott, despite her reservations. She begins to question whether she is really ready for a committed relationship, or if she is simply trying to fill a void in her life.

Meanwhile, Kelly and Tara are having their own issues with the workshop. Tara becomes increasingly frustrated with Dr. Scott's methods, and Kelly finds herself questioning whether the perfect man is really what she wants.

As the episode draws to a close, Jenna must decide whether to follow her heart or her head when it comes to Dr. Scott, and the women must come to terms with the fact that there may be no such thing as the perfect man.

Overall, "We Build Monsters" is a thought-provoking episode that explores the idea of what it means to be truly happy in a relationship. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the writing is both humorous and poignant. Born Again Virgin continues to be a must-watch series for anyone who enjoys a good mix of comedy and drama.
