Following a shocking assassination attempt, Home Secretary Julia Montague's (Keeley Hawes) threat level is raised to severe. The personal protection officer assigned to her, Sergeant David Budd (Richard Madden), continues to battle his inner demons and navigate his personal life while trying to prevent any future attacks. As the investigation progresses, Budd begins to uncover a conspiracy that leads him down a dangerous path and into the crosshairs of those he's sworn to protect.
In episode 3, tensions run high as Home Secretary Julia Montague prepares to give a major speech on counter-terrorism measures.
