Ep 13. Marika Sends an Invitation

As a Galactic Empire warship threatens to fire upon the Bentenmaru, Marika devises a plan to avoid a full-scale battle. She dispatches a message to Princess Gruier Serenity of the Serenity Royal Family and asks her to intervene. The Princess is unexpectedly gracious and agrees to meet with Marika in person to discuss the situation.

Marika then sends an invitation to the Princess and her entourage to come on board the Bentenmaru. The crew of the Bentenmaru, including Ririka and Chiaki, scrambles to prepare for the arrival of Princess Gruier and her group. Marika and the crew hold a conference to discuss how they should receive their guests and what they should do in order to put forth a good impression.

When Princess Gruier and her group finally arrive on the Bentenmaru, Marika and the crew go all out to welcome them. Everything goes smoothly until a young man named Misa Grandwood appears on board the Bentenmaru. He is a member of the Grandwood family, a group that has a long-standing grudge against the Serenity family. Misa seems to be intent on starting a fight and Marika must do her best to defuse the situation.

Throughout the episode, Marika displays her exceptional leadership skills. Despite mounting pressure and a plethora of issues to contend with, she manages to keep calm and level-headed. By the end of the episode, Princess Gruier is able to provide Marika with valuable information that could help her in her quest to become a legitimate pirate. The encounter also leaves Marika with newfound respect and admiration for the Princess.
