Boarding School Juliet season 1 episode 2, titled "Rosary and Juliet," takes viewers deeper into the simmering rivalry between two factions of the dormitories at Dahlia Academy, Black Doggy House and White Cats House. The episode picks up where the previous one left off, with Juliet and Inuzuka having been caught in a compromising position by Char and Aby. They are in trouble for breaking the school rules regarding fraternizing across house lines.
The episode begins with a mopey Inuzuka lamenting how his actions will hurt his already strained relationship with Persia, the leader of the White Cats House. Meanwhile, Persia is dealing with her own shock by trying to ignore her feelings for Inuzuka. She tries to focus on an upcoming competition against the Black Doggy House and her determination to win, but her mind keeps drifting back to Inuzuka and it is clearly affecting her.
In order to help patch things up between the two houses, the headmaster of the academy suggests that they participate in a rosary-making competition. The idea is to have members from both houses work together, and the winners will have their rosaries displayed at the school's chapel. The Black Doggy House is represented by Inuzuka and his loyal friend, Hasuki, while the White Cats House is represented by Persia and her loyal friend, Chartreux.
As the competition progresses, tensions between the houses start to flare up. The Black Doggy House accuses the White Cats House of using dubious tactics to gain an advantage, while the latter accuses the former of not taking the competition seriously. This leads to some heated arguments, which threaten to derail the project. However, as the students work side by side, they begin to realize that they have more in common than they previously thought.
The episode also introduces new characters, including Kento Tosa, a member of the White Cats House who has a crush on Persia, and Eigo Kohitsuji, a member of the Black Doggy House who is close friends with Inuzuka. Kento's crush on Persia adds another layer of complexity to the love triangle between Inuzuka, Persia, and Juliet. Meanwhile, Eigo's friendship with Inuzuka adds some levity to the episode, as he tries to convince his friend to take the competition seriously but fails to do so himself.
Overall, "Rosary and Juliet" is an entertaining and engaging episode that builds on the world and characters established in the first one. It balances humor and drama, romance and rivalry, in a way that keeps viewers invested in the story and the characters.
