As the second season of Blue Mountain State nears its conclusion, the stakes have never been higher for the college football team known as the Mountain Goats. In the thirteenth episode, titled "Riot," tensions on and off the field come to a head in an explosive finale that leaves viewers on the edge of their seats.
At the start of the episode, the team is still reeling from a devastating loss in their last game. Quarterback Alex Moran (played by Darin Brooks) is particularly frustrated, as he feels responsible for the outcome. His girlfriend, cheerleader Sammy Cacciatore (played by Romanski Vivian), tries to comfort him, but he remains distant and brooding.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team is gearing up for a big match against their rivals, the Blackwell Coyotes. Coach Daniels (played by Ed Marinaro) is determined to beat Blackwell and secure a conference championship for his team, but he knows it won't be easy. The Coyotes are known for their dirty tactics on the field, and tensions between the two teams have been high all season.
As the game begins, it quickly becomes apparent that Blackwell is playing dirty once again. They are targeting individual players on the Mountain Goats and using illegal moves to gain an advantage. The referees seem oblivious to their tactics, and Coach Daniels becomes increasingly frustrated.
At halftime, the Mountain Goats are down by several points. Coach Daniels is livid and gives a fiery speech, urging his team to fight back and play with honor. He reminds them that they are representing their school and their community, and that they need to show their rivals what true leadership and sportsmanship look like.
The second half of the game is intense and brutal. The Mountain Goats start to gain some ground, but Blackwell remains determined to win at all costs. As tensions escalate on the field, a group of rowdy fans in the stands begin to riot, throwing things onto the field and getting into fights.
Amidst the chaos, Alex and Sammy find themselves in a dangerous situation. They are caught in the middle of the riot and can't escape. As fans around them become increasingly violent and destructive, they realize that they may not make it out alive.
Back on the field, the game reaches its climax. The Mountain Goats manage to score a last-minute touchdown, putting them ahead by one point. But Blackwell is given one last chance to score, and they launch a Hail Mary pass towards the end zone.
As the ball hangs in the air, the fate of the game hangs in the balance. Players from both teams scramble to make a play, and fans in the stands hold their breath. When the ball finally comes down, it bounces off a Blackwell receiver and lands in the hands of a Mountain Goat defender.
Pandemonium erupts as the clock runs out. The Mountain Goats have won the game and secured the conference championship. The players celebrate on the field, hugging and high-fiving each other. Coach Daniels beams with pride, knowing that his team has played with honor and heart.
But as the dust settles, the true cost of the night's events begins to become clear. Alex and Sammy are badly shaken by their experience in the riot, and the other players are left to pick up the pieces of their broken community. As they try to move on from the chaos of the game, they are reminded that victory always comes with a price.
"Riot" is a thrilling and action-packed episode of Blue Mountain State that delivers on the promise of the series. With its gripping storyline and strong performances from the cast, it is sure to leave viewers satisfied and eager for more.
