The Blue Heelers season 6 episode 4, titled "A Bit of Biff," follows the police force in the rural Australian town of Mount Thomas as they investigate a string of violent brawls happening throughout the area. Senior Sergeant Tom Croydon (played by John Wood) and his team find themselves in the middle of a heated dispute between two families, the Gormans and the Finches, who have been feuding for years over a property line disagreement.

The episode kicks off with a physical altercation between members of the two families outside of the local pub. The police arrive on the scene to break up the fight and get a sense of what's been going on. Constable Wayne Patterson (played by Grant Bowler) starts to investigate the incident and realizes that it's only one of many similar brawls that have occurred in the last couple of weeks.

As Wayne digs deeper, he discovers that the two families have a complicated history filled with personal vendettas and old grudges. To make matters worse, the Finches have a particularly unsavory reputation in the community, as they've been involved in various criminal activities in the past. Tom and Wayne struggle to keep the peace between the two families while also trying to prevent any further violence.

Meanwhile, Senior Constable Nick Schultz (played by Martin Sacks) is tasked with investigating a separate incident involving a group of teenagers who have been causing trouble in town. Nick discovers that the group has been breaking into cars and stealing items for fun. He decides to take matters into his own hands and gives the teens a stern lecture on the consequences of their actions.

As the investigation into the brawls continues, Wayne and Tom uncover a shocking twist that changes the entire course of the case. They realize that there's a third party involved who has been manipulating both families in an attempt to gain control of their land. The police race against the clock to stop this unknown culprit before things get even more out of hand.

Throughout the episode, we see the Blue Heelers face some tough moral dilemmas. They must balance their duty to uphold the law with their desire to keep the peace in their small community. The tensions between the families escalate, leaving the police to navigate a complex web of lies and deceit. "A Bit of Biff" is a captivating episode that showcases the strength and resilience of the Blue Heelers police force as they work together to protect their town and bring justice to those in need.
