In Blue Heelers season 5 episode 5 titled "Lean On Me," the community of Mount Thomas is shaken up by a string of burglaries and car thefts. When a friend of Sergeant Tom Croydon becomes a victim, he takes a personal interest in the case and tries to track down the culprits.

Meanwhile, Senior Constable Nick Schultz takes on the role of a School Liaison Officer, tasked with helping troubled youth in town. He quickly forms a bond with a troubled teenager named Alex, who's struggling with drug addiction and family problems. As Nick tries to get through to Alex and steer him in the right direction, he realizes that he's in over his head and seeks help from a fellow officer.

At the same time, Constable Maggie Doyle continues to struggle with the aftermath of a recent tragedy and starts to doubt her abilities as a police officer. She's partnered with Constable Wayne Patterson to investigate the burglaries but feels like she's not contributing much. As the case progresses, however, Maggie starts to take charge and proves herself a valuable member of the investigation team.

As the investigations into the burglaries and Alex's situation unfold, the officers of Mount Thomas come together to support each other and the community they serve. Despite the challenges they face, they continue to lean on each other and work towards making their town a safer place.

With its mix of crime drama and heartwarming moments, "Lean On Me" is a gripping episode that showcases the strong bonds between the officers of Mount Thomas and the people they serve.
