The show Blue Heelers season 2 episode 28 titled "Damage Control" begins with a thrilling scene, where the police receive a distress call from a local pub reporting a massive brawl. As the police rush to the scene, they witness a group of people fighting violently. In the midst of the chaos, a young woman named Anna gets gravely injured, and the police have to call an ambulance immediately.
As the police investigate the incident, they realize that the fight was a result of escalating tensions between two rival gangs, who were involved in an illegal drug trafficking business. The gangs had been at odds with each other for a while and were using Anna's pub as their headquarters.
Senior Constable Maggie Doyle and Constable Wayne Patterson take charge of the investigation and visit Anna at the hospital, hoping she can provide some valuable information about the gangs. Though in considerable pain, Anna reveals that she only knows a little about the gangs' activities as they had kept her in the dark. She does, however, mention that a new member had joined one of the gangs lately and that he was a large, heavily tattooed man.
The pair of officers then interview Anna's partner, Fred, who also owns the pub, hoping he could give more insight. Though reluctant initially, Fred eventually tells them about the escalating tensions between the gangs, and how he had tried to put an end to it. However, his efforts had led to him getting beaten, and he had been left in severe debt.
Meanwhile, Senior Sergeant Tom Croydon talks to two members of the gangs, trying to gather more information on the new member. He decides to set up surveillance on the pub, hoping to catch him in the act. The new member, known as "Tank," is seen visiting the pub several times, but Croydon is unable to catch him dealing drugs.
As the investigation progresses, Wayne and Maggie receive a tip-off from an anonymous source about a meeting between the gangs at a secluded location. The police rush to the site and witness a drug deal going down, and Tank is seen among the gang members.
The police arrest the gang members, but Tank manages to slip away with the drugs. Maggie and Wayne pursue him on foot, but Tank manages to outrun them. Later, they discover that Tank had died in a freak accident as he had crashed his car on a deserted road while trying to flee with the drugs.
The episode ends with the police raiding the location where Tank had allegedly stored the drugs. They find the stash and are finally able to put an end to the gangs' illicit operation.
